A state permitting clear perception and understanding; the area that may be seen distinctly or resolved into a clear image.

Sometimes, we don’t see what is right in front of us.

After watching the following clip, it is worth reading the linked article from the Washington Post, but a brief resume is that the “busker” in the clip is actually one of the world bests violinists, who was performing to people a few days earlier who had paid $100 a ticket for average seats.  Here, he was playing for free in the station and barely anyone noticed him.  It was part of a social experiment about peoples taste, perception and priorities.  Perhaps a lesson that we can learn from this is that we need to keep our eyes open to see that we don’t miss opportunities that are happening around us.
